Knowing "between" modernist reality and postmodernist intentionality

The text is opened by the brief characteristic of the accepted thinking assumptions about the humanities (pedagogics). This group of assumptions makes a „cultural a priori” for all social practices that require the acts of intercommunication. When someone assumes that each theory is a cultural work, what also implies a specified cultural view of the universe, then it should be also assumed that, described in this theory, states of affairs may be treated only on its ground. Several notes regarding a notional (cultural) relativism of accepted way of thinking indicate that representation – i.e. intentionalism is rather inconvenient for relativists as well as for positivists for their reductive view of the universe. Instead, it seems that what is intentional, it breaks into our description of what is unintentional – as if what is intentional used to be in some way omnipresent (H. Putnam). Educational implications of the accepted assumptions of the reflections regarding pedagogics are the look on the modern humanities from the two ways of thinking viewpoint – modernistic and postmodernistic. Their short presentation is connected with an attempt of determination of relationship between them, searching for what different authors call „between”. Above mentioned opposition fixed a division into two pedagogics; therefore, there are searching for the third issue (third paradigm) – the third pedagogics.Tekst otwiera krótka charakterystyka założeń myślenia o humanistyce (pedagogice). Zespół owych założeń stanowi „kulturowe a priori” dla wszelkich praktyk społecznych, które wymagają aktów komunikowania się. Jeśli przyjmiemy, że każda teoria jest tworem kulturowym, implikującym też jakąś kulturowo określoną wizję świata, to należy również założyć, iż stany rzeczy przesądzane w niej jako istniejące mogą być traktowane jako takie tylko na jej gruncie. Kilka uwag w kwestii relatywizmu pojęciowego (kulturowego) przyjętego sposobu myślenia zwraca uwagę na fakt, że zarówno relatywistom, jak i pozytywistom kłopot sprawia to, że reprezentowanie – czyli intencjonalność – nie pasuje do redukcyjnego obrazu świata. Zaczyna natomiast wyglądać na to, że to, co intencjonalne, wdziera się także w nasz opis tego, co nieintencjonalne – jak gdyby to, co intencjonalne było w pewnym sensie wszechobecne (H. Putnam). Implikacje edukacyjne przyjętych założeń myślenia o pedagogice to spojrzenie na współczesną humanistykę z punktu widzenia zmagania się dwóch modeli myślenia – modernistycznego i postmodernistycznego. Ich krótka prezentacja wiąże się z próbą określenia związku między nimi, poszukiwania tego, co różni autorzy określają jako „między”. Powyższa opozycja utrwaliła podział na dwie pedagogiki, stąd też poszukiwania trzeciego wyjścia (trzeciego paradygmatu) – trzeciej pedagogiki
